Christopher L. Culp

Christopher L. Culp is Managing Director of RMCS, Inc., Senior Advisor with Compass Lexecon (a subsidiary of FTI Consulting, Inc.), an Adjunct Professor of Finance at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, an Honorarprofessor at Universität Bern in the Institut für Finanzmanagement, a Visiting Lecturer at the Université de Genève Section des Hautes Études Commerciales, and Adjunct Fellow in Financial Regulation with the Competitive Enterprise Institute. He teaches graduate degree courses on structured finance, insurance, and derivatives, and provides advisory consulting services and testimonial expertise in these same areas.

Dr. Culp is the author of four books – Structured Finance & Insurance, Risk Transfer: Derivatives in Theory & Practice, The ART of Risk Management, and The Risk Management Process – and the co-editor of two books – Corporate Aftershock: The Public Policy Consequences of the Failure of Enron and Other Major Corporations (co-edited with William Niskanen), and Corporate Hedging in Theory & Practice (co-edited with Merton Miller). He has published numerous articles, and is on the editorial advisory boards of the Journal of Applied Corporate Finance, the Journal of Risk Finance, the Journal of Structured Finance, and Futures Industry magazine.

Culp holds a Ph.D. from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business with a concentration in finance and a B.A. in economics from The Johns Hopkins University. He divides his time between his residences in Chicago, Illinois, and Interlaken (BE), Switzerland.
